#ICEicle: 2016 International Residency Education Awards

As ICRE continues to attract a growing global audience from year to year, it becomes increasingly important to recognize those exceptional international medical education leaders who have achieved excellence in research, practice and/or training.

As a world leader in medical education, an accolade from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is a highly regarded achievement. The annual ICRE awards provide an important and valuable opportunity for international medical educators and resident leaders to have their work recognized on a global scale.

So if you – or someone in your professional network – know an exceptional residency educator or resident leader, we ask that you submit a nomination on her/his behalf in one (or both) of the following categories:

  • International Residency Educator of the Year Award: This award is given annually to an international residency educator who has demonstrated a commitment to enhancing residency education as evidenced by innovation and impact beyond his/her program.
  • International Residency Leadership Award: This award is given annually to an international resident who has demonstrated leadership in specialty education and encourages the development of future leaders in medicine.

Help us recognize some of medical education’s best and brightest by nominating a colleague for an ICRE Award!

The call for nominations will close May 9, 2016.

Visit the Royal College website for more information on the above awards categories and to complete the submission process.
